Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, left the pitch sad about his teammates’ reluctance to pass the ball to him, throughout the final stages of their win against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.
Aguero replaced Bernardo Silva in the seventy fifth minute, with Pep Guardiola’s side already leading 4-0 on aggregate.
Nevertheless, the 32-year-old didn’t register a single shot on goal in quarter-hour on the pitch.
According to ESPN reports, Aguero expressed his dissatisfaction to a coach following the full-time whistle, saying:
“No me pasan la pelota” which interprets to “They don’t go me the ball.”
It’s believed that Riyad Mahrez was the primary culprit, as he opted to shoot when offered with chances in and across the field in the closing stages.
The Algerian, who has been in prolific form, couldn’t discover the back of the net although, with his shots both off target or saved by Gladbach keeper, Yann Sommer.
Aguero has in the past week been linked with a free transfer to Barcelona this summer, together with his contract at City expiring at the end of the season.
